Yes, we need better pictures..side views..and what breed to know if he has more coloring..plus..you need to listen. To his voice...is it loud..or scratchy and low....if it’s low he’s a he probably...lol..and a curl on the tail indicates gender..but some breeds don’t show as much...he’s a good looker..how old?I always sexed mine by the curled tail feather when I still had ducks. I think I MIGHT be seeing the beginning of a tail curl... curled tail means male. Better tail pics might help. I never did learn to sex them by voice, because the differences always seemed fairly obvious to me at a reasonably young age.
Ducks are suspicious critters, though. Hard to say what is setting him off all of a sudden!
