I got a baby duckling about 5 days old from Arkansas (We live in Florida). I cant find anywhere what kind of duck it is, or the gender. This was in May, so he is about 3+ months old now, with all his feathers. I built him a coop, and I got a Pekin duck from a standard seed and feed store to keep him company. Last night as I was taking them out of their pool, The black one (From Arkansas) fell out about 4 feet high. I apparently didnt close the gate enough, and he curiously poked his head out.

So it seems he has a small maybe crack under his left foot, doesnt appear to be swollen, and he doeant scream at me if I touch it. However he doesnt like to move it. His appetite is fine, drinks water fine. I put him in the pool all day so to take pressure off of sitting on it. He was totally fine bobbing in the water Kind of has his left foot stretched out not really using it though. I'm hoping it's just a sprain? Should I wrap it with gauze?

Pics below is pic of the duck. I'll get one of his foot. Baby pic is if someone could identify the breed for me?

Judging by color, I’m guessing s/he’s a Black Swedish mix.

Does he have a curly feather near his tail (drake feather)?

Does he have a low, raspy voice, or a loud quack? Only females quack.

I thought it might be a swedish black also, just minor differences. But the neck is pretty spot on.
He can get pretty damn loud when I leave the area or he wants me for something. I havnt had a duck in like 17 years. So I'm rusty.
