Hi all my husband and I are first time duck owners. We noticed yesterday that our 5 month old female American Pekin was not walking, we thought she was just laying on her eggs but this morning we realized she is having trouble walking. We checked her feet and she will let you touch them and does not seem to be in pain. We were thinking maybe a niacin deficiency and started to supplement with frozen peas. Any ideas what the problem could be and how to better help our girl? We have already put her in a separate pen from our two male ducks so she can heal

Did you check the bottom of her foot for bumblefoot? Ducks are highly prone to bumblefoot.
I would try and post a video of her walk.

How would I check for bumblefoot? I tried to get a video of her walking but she wont walk. This morning she was using her bill to help scoot herself around the bigger pen and since we moved her she is just laying in one spot

:welcome It may be a result of Niacin deficiency, but also physical injury from over breeding by two drakes may be the cause.
Would we we better off leaving them in the separate pens? When we started she was the only one we had, and had to go back to get the other two because we were told we couldn't have only one duck.
