My baby Kevin is limping! I checked his foot and there are no scratches or any signs of bumblefoot (I check my duckies every other day for bumblefoot). He has been limping for a couple of days and I tried confining him to a smaller space so he wouldn’t be using it as much because maybe I thought he pulled something? I don’t really know what’s wrong and i’m scared to take him to the only vet I can find around me that specializes in avian care due to reviews saying they were unreliable, rude with sick/injured animals, and they were sent to a vet 4 hours + away. I live in buffalo New York. if anyone could help me out I would appreciate it!

What breed of duck is he?
What do you feed
What's the bedding in th coop? Run?
How old is Kevin?

Kevin is a 1 year old White Layer so he’s a bit heavy set. The feed is just the basic stuff from TSC. I thought maybe a bit of niacin deficiency but he isn’t bowlegged in the slightest so maybe i’m over thinking that. I normally have pine shavings in the coop and run but with the winter i’ve been using straw to keep them warmer. in the run it’s still pine shavings.

Could you get a video of him limping, upload it to youtube or Vimeo, and copy/paste the link here?

I can take a video tomorrow, I brought the duckies in for the night about an hour ago before I checked back.

My Runners tend to get limps every now and again.
If it's severe enough that they lay down after a short distance, I segregate them inside for two days, and give them an AM and PM swim session in the bathtub. I have had to do this twice for young ducks.
To date all of my ducks have overcome any limping without a vet visit.
