My duck is limping

Thank you for your help. is bochilism pretty deadly to ducks ?
It can be but they can recover so don't give up on her, treat asap and if you don't have the activated charcoal and can't get it till tomorrow then use the Epsom salt or molasses. you need to start treatment right away.

First thing in the morning I will be getting the activated charcoal.
If I cant find the powder at Walmart i would assume to crush the capsules up?
And should the charcoal mix be force fed to the duck?

get capsules then just open and put it into her water, is she drinking? go right by the directions I gave you for mixing. and if she isn't drinking then take a syringe with out a needle and draw some of the slurry up into it and wrap your duck in a towel so she can't fight to get away and just slowly put the slurry into her bill a little at a time. don't force it down her throat or it could go into her air sacs and cause Pneumonia. Hopefully after she has some of it in her she'll begin to feel better. The activated charcoal binds to the toxin and removes it from the body. also make her a gruel type of feed using her reg feed and some nice warm water, she may eat it better than just plain dry feed at least till she is feeling better. Just try a small amount so your not wasting. And also take into consideration this may not even be Botulism it could be something else even though it seems to point that way, vets we aren't. Most of us do have to try do the elimination of things though if a vet isn't in the budget. Or a vet for poultry isn't available.

On my way to get the activated charcoal.
I just checked on her, I opened the dog crate door and she did hobble to her little kiddie pool to swim. The leg is very weak and she doesn't have much controll of it though. The weird thing is that the duck acts perfectly fine as far as her personality goes. she still gets excited when she sees people And still seems happy, she even let my drake mate with her (though I stopped it so he wouldent hurt her leg)
I don't know?
I will start the flushe's right away when I get the charcoal.

You did the right thing she doesn't need the drake messing with her right now. Wonder if he may have injured her? by accident? since your saying she is acting fine other wise? is he a runner or other breed? Keep her away from the drake till she has been on her feet and walking for at least 3-5 days after recovery.

The drake is a runnet aswell.
I couldn't find charcoal at Walmart so I have been using Epsom salt As directed.
today she has been laying down with the bad leg sticking out behind her. A couple times I let her out to walk and she kinda hops when she first starts walking as she walks more she Starts walking a little better. We will see what happens?

And yesterday you said this.
I just got home and one of my runner ducks is limping and keeps falling down. There are no apparent injuries on the leg she is limping on. It appears she is having trouble holding up her wing on the side of the limping foot.never had any problems just happened today. Can anyone tell me whats going on with her?

Her wing and the limp made me suspicious but when you mentioned the pond it really made me think toxin. So now only a limp which gets better as she walks? so wonder if she some how injured her leg? running or drake mating with her? things can happen pretty quick. Hows her appetite and how does her poop look and as Amiga asked when was the last time she laid or has she started laying yet since she is 5 months old?

No she isn't laying yet. if her leg is a injury is it for it to be shaking? She really has got me boggled. today I noticed she likes to strech her bad leg and the the wing on the side of the bad leg often. when she stands she holds her leg up unless she is trying to walk. Mabey this will help.
Also is their any way to post a video?
