My duck is limping

No she isn't laying yet. if her leg is a injury is it for it to be shaking? She really has got me boggled. today I noticed she likes to strech her bad leg and the the wing on the side of the bad leg often. when she stands she holds her leg up unless she is trying to walk. Mabey this will help.
Also is their any way to post a video?
When I posted a video I used you tube not sure if there is an easier way. shaking may mean pain not sure why she would be stretching it unless that helps with pain and stretching the wing I have no idea, @Amiga may have an idea. Holding her leg up could be pain, cold or just comfortable my ducks sleep and stand like that alot.

Recently nights in my area has been Between forty and fifty degrees so not that cold. I don't think she is holding up her leg is because it's comfortable, For her I think it's pain.
and I will work on seeing if i can post a video.

Not much has changed I take her out of the cage once a day to walk so she isn't just sitting on her leg propped back all day I can't see that being good for the leg .Hopefully I will start seeing improvement soon.

Have you had her in some water to see if she will actually swim and use it? Might help determine if its the bottom of the foot or the leg itself?
I definitely don't know enough about ducks, am just trying to learn, and thinking out loud, so to speak. (or type lol) and throwing out suggestions....

I have put her in water and she pulls the bad leg up when she is not using it. So it's probably the leg.
but thank you for helping :)

Hmmm... Well I'm hoping for the best for you and the little one. Its so difficult to see them having trouble and feel so helpless. Sounds like you are doing your best...

Leg injuries take quite a while to heal. can you see any swelling or unusual redness? When you have her in water she does use it though or just hold it up against her body? Are you still giving her brewers yeast or niacin? could be a nutrient dif. or poultry vitamins like Poultry Nutri drench. something with the B's in it. even Super B complex would be good. But leg injuries do take a good while to heal so limit her running around a small amount of exercise is good water therapy is better water takes the weight off her leg. rest and supplement support. How's her attitude, appetite?

Her attitude is the same and she is eating less from what I can tell. she is still getting niacin I have added more to her food. No swelling or redness And when she is in the water she will use her leg if she wants to swim then when she isn't moving in when water she pulls her leg back up to her body Again.

Are you sprinkling the niacin on top of her feed? maybe the taste is throwing her off her feed, brewers yeast or nutritional yeast might have a better taste. I use nutritional yeast it has a nutty taste. Most you can do is supportive care make sure she has her water therapy and good feed along with niacin or Poultry Nutri drench and rest. Just like us when we injure our legs same applies here. Vet always is best but most of us don't have that option.

The niacin that I use comes inside a capsule I open the capsule And there are tiny little beads inside So I don't think she could taste it unless it's wet. I also mix it in.
