Congrats on your first egg! If you don’t eat eggs I agree with those saying to gift them to someone who does. Duck eggs are delicious. We don’t ever buy eggs anymore

may want to get some crushed oyster shells for her to keep her calcium levels up. When my first duck laid her eggs she was, and is, an egg laying machine. We have gotten an egg a day for about 4 straight months with very few days where there were no eggs. She she can use up calcium fast

Congratulations on your first egg! How is she doing?

I give my laying ducks layer pellets, instead of maintenance, when they are making eggs. It has a more robust formula to meet their additional nutritional needs. I also provide oyster shells for calcium. I put the shells in a separate dish near their food. My ducks just know when they need it, and eat as much as they want.

I also don't eat eggs. I often give them to friends or family, who love them.
