my duck left how do i get her home plz help!!!

will I be able to let her lose again?
How'd she get down the road? do you have a stream that she got into and got washed down? My Muscovy's have 1 wing clipped and don't stray from our home and we have a river down below us. Now if they could fly they'd probably fly down to the river.

yes I know I might have to take both. If grab one im afraid the other will take off. she likes bread. I going to try again tomorrow to get her

im not sure how she got there. there was a bad rain storm 2 days ago I looked in the coop and there were only 2 duck. when the rain passed I couldn't finder her I looked for 2 days and nothing today she turned up at the pond

Hi, I assume your duck can fly. You may find that suddenly she´s come home, maybe to make her nest where she knows it´s safe! After all, she´s found herself a guy!

3 of my muscovies are little stop-outs. One stayed away for a few days in the neighbour´s place until she decided to come home and has never gone off again. Another one is a right 'traveller'. She gets everywhere, but in the end comes back, sometimes after some weeks or even months..... My hubby calls her the homing duck because I sold her twice and she came back home!

And a third one is a little tart and goes off to tease the drake next door, then flies back here out of his reach and my drake then tries to fight with the other one through the fence!

If your place is well fenced in you could try clipping a wing when you get her back, but having said that, one of my ducks can scale a 6' fence with a clipped wing! Muscovies are something else!

And just out of interest, another neighbour´s pekin ducks go for walkabout everyday across the fields...so funny, 2 drakes and a duck. I don´t know how they survive. at least a muscovy duck can normally get out of trouble by flying.

(Oh, btw MLyd, 2 new ducklings are hatching...)

:) I have had her for 4 years and I almost fainted when she didn't come back the first night.

So how did she get out of the coop? Is there no cover on it? In which case she flew, or they can push through some tiny gaps too.

I have about a acre of land she is free rage except at night when I coop them

So, she´s not clipped? I´m sure she´ll be back, all mine come back, as I already said. She just wants a guy. A little romance in her life.

If she does come back, I´d think twice about clipping her wing, though, being free-range.
