My duck Stopped Following me

my duck use to follow me and shout when im not in sight. but now he just walks away from me and wont let me touch him but whenever i give him treat he always gets it.

how do i get it to follow me. shes about 6 months.

They go threw a dont touch me phase. All you can do is offer treats and still try to spend as much time with them as you can.

Depends on the duck. Some can take weeks others can take months.

He still does love you. He just wants to be independant for awhile. Most ducks I know of go threw that. I have one doing that now to as well. She will take treats from my hand and then walk away. Just give it time and lots and lots of treats and he will warm up to you again.

My best friend had the same problem. An older gentlemen claiming to have had ducks for 50+ years told her she just "didn't look enough like a duck". Ha!

He told her to get more ducks and they soon would all be her best friend. He must have been correct because she got two more ducks and now they ALL follow her around and are underfoot at all times. She was elated to have her "girl" back and a good excuse to purchase more "friends".
