About a month old. I do dissolve nician in water daily. Should I try sprinkling on the feed? What are you feeding your duck and how old is it? I would promptly get some vitamin B complex tablets at the drug store or the injectable kind at your feed store, and give some daily. Ducks need extra B3 niacin. Nutritional yeast also contains B vitamins.
Ok thank you so muchI agree with @Eggcessive . I believe the injectable b complex from the feed store, which you can give orally, will provide the most rapid dosage and would go that route. I would also provide your duckling several short swim sessions a day as it is easier to develop the leg muscles that way when they don’t have to support their full body weight. I would feed a water fowl or all flock feed with brewers yeast or nutritional yeast added. Since the duckling is still young and growing there is a good chance it can regain use of its legs but the B complex is the most important thing right now!
Thank you. I’ve been googling as wellhttp://www.duckdvm.com/condition/splay-leg

It seems to me the most likely culprit is niacin deficiency as another member suggested. (I was being a Google warrior. This did not come from personal experience.)
We started with chick starter feed and I was just adding nician to the water. I guess just not enough. We have changed feed I’ll let you know what the new stuff is called. The guy at tractor supply told me it was better.I would like to know what you were feeding your duckling this entire time that was deficient in Niacin. I have two ducklings so I hope you don't mind me asking.
