My ducklings....a small question.

They are about 6 weeks old now. When I can I leave them out permanently? I have a huge pond.



Funny story............We placed them in a cage outside in the shade and when I looked outside the male ducks were sitting next to the cage. I guess they were trying to see who would get first pick.

Mine went out at 3 weeks old. It has been plenty warm around here.

Well, considering you have males....I would be carefull putting them out too early. I would be afraid the males would try to mate them, and might hurt them. If possible....can you put them in an outside pen, away from the males!?

Yeah. They like it. They get all hissy if the other is gone. I got one and put her back in the bath tub (only place that they love in the house) and she had a fit. They are starting to quack. Sounds so funny. If I peep they follow me around outside. I still peep when I am feeding my older ducks.
