My ducklings has been acting very weak...

That's pretty amazing we have someone from Madagascar on here.

As you mentioned people in Madagascar are "underdeveloped" as I'm sure you know people Madagascar have some of lowest life expectancies around the world! you guys have diseases that is really no other place in the world, and you also have animals that are only on Madagascar.

And as I'm sure you know you know import and export of Livestock and Feed can be quite difficult.

Unfortunately their current diet is probably the cause of illness. The black Swedish need a lot of Vitiamin B and proper nutrition because that's a very fast-growing duck.

I found this website are they close to u? http://www.meadersfeeds.com?

They don't particularly have duck food but they have chicken food which is a step in the right direction! I would go get a bunch of different short cut grasses and leaves from the garden and start adding that to their diet. If you can find little earthworms grab those, It'll be great. And pretty much any tiny critter that is small ducks can eat! Just make sure the Little Critter is not poisonous i know that's something you guys have as well!! Also add some sand or some fine rocks really really small fine rocks in a bowl. All the rice they've been eating they need something to help break that down and sand will help.

You definitely have your work cut out for you! But it's more than possible! Also try to keep the ducklings in between 25 and 30 degrees Celsius!

You could heat up a big rock or brick, wrap it tightly in a thick towel, and place it in with your Chicks. It's an old fashioned trick my grandparents used to keep our feet warm on cold winter nights. Have 2 rocks/bricks so one can be used while the other is being heated. They hold heat a bit longer than water. Just make sure they can't burn the babies. Set the rocks on a wood stove if that's what you have and make sure they aren't so hot they burn through the towels OR boil them on a modern type stove but let them dry before wrapping them so the towel doesn't get wet and scald the babies. Give the babies more room so they can sit further away if they feel it's too warm. Maybe make a fenced in area in the room with whatever is handy. A corner of a room would only need 2 more walls. Think outside the box. A kitchen chair on its side could be a start. Cardboard would be ok till they get stronger. Good luck!

I would boil eggs for them and then take the yolk and chop it fine into a crumbles. the peas are a good idea too. Your father may be able to set up a "maggot maker" for you. Here's a youtube video on making a "maggot generator" from just a bucket.
You can chop up the maggots for them and mix them with the eggs and peas.

Good protein, they probably enjoyed it. Salamanders are slightly poisonous, so I'd avoid those, but frogs and lizards could make a good protein source. Just make sure they have grit available so they can properly digest it.

You can mix it with water for them.
Thank you so much for the advice. I truly feel horrible for literally not giving them the nutrients they need. Now that I know what not to do, I'll do better and hopefully they still have a chance to grow into strong and healthy ducks.

Thanks again to all of you!

I've never heard of Meaders Feeds before to be honest. I will ask my dad about it and I will see on Google Maps where they are. I see that they are Mauritian(I am Mauritian as well). Anyway, I will take everybody's advice and just cut the rice for a while, at least until they grow a little. I will ask my security guard if he can find some worms for me.

Not to be a party pooper... but can you tell your friend that pets are not a good gift unless someone specifically asks for that pet. It is a kind gesture. Just not allways a handy one. I got two goldfish in a bag as a gift... had to buy a whole 150 euro aquarium and plants and other stuff because goldfish can't live in a bag.. that 'gift' cost me 150 times more then the goldfish costed for the gift-giver :p I dind't want goldfish.
