My ducks are changing color

So, i have two chocolate muscovy ducks. Now, i know muscovies can be varying shades of brown to white. But, mine are starnge. They were originally a dark brown. But i swear to god they are turning white. For the past year, their plumage is getting lighter and lighter. Now, im not sure whats going on. Is this a normal thing?

Thanks, but they were already adults when i got them. A fox took my rouens so i got them as adults. That is the only reason i was asking. But thanks for the input.

Could be fading from the sun. Do the feathers still look shiny and healthy? If so, I wouldn't worry. Wait until they molt and see if the new feathers come in as dark brown again.

My Muscovies started out blue and white chocolate and white and blue fawn every year after molt they are getting whiter and whiter I think it's just normal. The sun can fade out the color too. Did yours have any white on them at all when you first got them?

Cayuga Ducks also change colour as they molt each year.
It will be interesting each year as your molt. It will be like getting new Ducks..

What?...Birds will develop more white as they molt each year if that is what's happening?...Oh brother...
