Most welcome! It's one of the colours I specialize in and finally managed to breed some males this year (it's sex-linked so took me a couple of years to achieve from scratch).Thank you! I was hoping someone would ID that for me lol.

Oh, he's Lavender? Now I want to steal him even more!
Can't find Lavenders around here...
So she was already grown. Reason I was asking is I thought perhaps it had to do with the Barred gene. I have a drake that I hatched this year that I'm also trying to figure out what the heck he is and is sort of similar. But I know his possible genetics and *think* he might be either a very light Silver Barred or Buff Barred. I'm going to breed him in the Spring with specific hens to try and figure it out.
I gave up on chicken genetics, lol!Yes, she was already grown.
I lucked into the lavender drake and he's absolutely magnificent, though I have yet to get good pictures. (I'm told he does not carry blue and has only thrown solid babies.) As for the others, except that they all hatched this year, I don't know anything beyond what can be observed in the birds themselves, so I've been scouring the internet for color genetics. (I'm still trying to get my mind around all the chicken colors as well.)

Yeah a heavily pied Buff (2xblue aka Silver + Chocolate) might do that. She's definitely not a white!Maybe she is a lilac with a double dose of blue? Here she is standing in front of my French white. I am wondering if instead of looking a bit "dirty" because she's about to molt, she's really got some kind of overall, very light, non-white color?

Here are a couple of pictures of him. View attachment 3978807View attachment 3978808
Thanks so much! She is most likely a buff, assuming she is not molting. That throws off the coloring and makes it impossible to tell till they have their new feathers.
This is my barred buff. It's obvious she is a buff only during her molt as color starts to appear on her body. Most of the year she looks nearly all white, but she isn't.
