My ducks first spring!

I had never heard of Dufur until 17 years ago when I met a coworker who moved to Redmond with her family.

That's really cool! Who was the other Oregonian? I'm glad I found someone in Oregon directly after I signed up!

I can't remember her byc name but I think she was in the valley on some considerable acreage with her parents and they had lots of birds and horses. She was alot of fun and had a Drake she'd walk on a leash and she'd tell us about people's reactions.

Ya. When you said Dufur I had to ask. Other than one other member now in CA, the rest are 700 to 8k miles away. Now I'm not all alone I don't own ducks. Am just obsessed with them.

They are very fun to hug! Hammerhead my White Chinese gander lets me pick him up and give him hug. That's what I do when I'm mad or sad.

They're called Miniature Golden Cascades. They were developed by Dave Holderread, who is also who I obtained them. They are a tiny bit larger than a Call, but the females can lay up to 200 eggs annually, more than any bantam duck out there.

That is so sweet. And picking him up when you feel that way gives your brain a bit shot of dopamine. Excellent. Birds are precious.
