My ducks speak chicken

Apparently they are bi-lingual. Something spooked the chickens yesterday (the rooster was looking at the sky - so I think a hawk must have flown over)

As soon as the rooster called the alarm, all the hens ran for cover and so did the ducks. I have never seen them take cover so fast.

I'm glad they speak chicken.

I have a Pheasant that can speak Turkey

Every time my turkey poults get upset and start peeping my male pheasant talks to them and calms them down.

My Scovies speak chicken also.

They pay very close attention to what the chooks are all about. I now have a number of girl Scovies who think they should "hang out" with the chooks in their yard and a few EE's who have learned to jump the fence and "hang out" with the Scovies all day. Go figure!

Mine must speak both too,, I caught Emeril the drake and Nugget the Roo have a loud argument in the front yard. Evidently Nugget thought the ducks were corrupting Cheapers and he wanted Cheaps with the chickens but he prefers the ducks. It was all brought on by Cheaps standing in the sprinkler with Peeps and Emeril, I think Nugget was just embarrassed.
