Oh, I am so sorry this happened. I hope she heals quickly. I think everyone is right. Keep her inside away from flies and clean wound as mentioned. Maybe vet can prescribe Baytril for infection? I forgot if that was what I was given years ago for my bird.

Go to Wal-Mart or Walgreens next and get some telfa pads and rolls of gauze.

Oh, get some distilled water and a 30-60 ml syringe too. You will want the syringe to flush the wound.

also Google homemade saline and use the distilled water to make it.

I'm not as experienced as the others on here, but cornstarch should help slow/stop the bleeding if it is still needed. I had to use it in the past when a fox attacked one of our chickens, and she made it. Hope this helps!
