If you can pluck them without tearing the skin that would be better. But if plucking will cause tearing, trim them.

Thanks everyone so much ! I got her feathers cleaned, saline rinsed, chlorhexadine soaked Tefla pads , gauze wrapped , and vet wrapped. Gave her some water with vitamin b complex and all flock pellets with a dash of brewers yeast- available to her if she’s
Interested — It looks like there was a build up of straw by the door last night when my Husband locked them in the coop so it was Pryed open just enough for a raccoon to snack his paw in !

Oh good, glad you got her taken care of.

If you have enough Clavamox, you could give her some of that too, but the duck dose is huge compared to the dog/cat dose, which is why I asked what she weighs. My vet prescribed 250 mg tablets twice a day for a 6.6 pound hen, and 500 mg twice a day for a 9-pound peacock.

She is only 4 pounds. She is about 4 months old - the clavamox I have is this one -

Do you think you'll be able to get her in to see the vet tomorrow? If so, you could give her 3 tablets twice a day.
