Gaara has seemed fine all day, has totally been herself. Not once has she ever been anything other than her normal self. The chickens free range all day and are given pellets w/crumbles, mixed seeds and meal worms, Oyster shell is always offered separately. A few times a week I soak the pellets/crumbles with pureed veggies, yogurt and oatmeal and they get that for breakfast. But not in the last 2 days.

Today was flood irrigation day so they spent the whole day splashing around in the water, eating bugs, clover and grass, along with anything else they could scratch up. This evening around 6:30 I went to close up the coop as our normal routine and the other two hens went right in. Gaara was standing in the field and it looked like she was trying to stand and lay and egg, only she wasn't making any noise and she is a noisy layer. Her legs were shaking and she kept ducking her head like she was choking on something. She isn't clucking or making any sounds and while she is a very friendly chicken, she typically will duck down to the ground when I go to pick her up and she didn't do that either. She seems scared and cuddled right up to me, she is drooling a little bit. I'm worried she got stung by a scorpion but I don't see any swelling or anything to really indicate that, I don't use pesticides so she couldn't have gotten into any of that. I am somewhat new to chicken keeping. We got these 3 last April so we've had them a year and always seem healthy and not many issues. I don't know what to do for her or what to check for. Any suggestion is appreciated.

If you have a local vet I would take her there . I have never heard of a chicken drooling so it worries me
