PurpleChicken
Rest in Peace 1970-2018
Ever since the demise of Roo, our leghorn rooster. The hens have gotten
very "affectionate" with me especially when I scratch their back. I posted
previously about this but do not want to reference that post.
Now my Easter egger has taken it to far. She not only does the hen squat
but, let's just say, reveals her vent to me. When I'm done giving her a little
back scratch, NOTHING MORE, she does the get up and shake thing.
We have a ton of chicks turning out to be roos so the hens will be happy
again by late winter, or at least not frustrated in a married couple sort of way.
If I'm making no sense it is because I'm trying to convey this message
in the most gentle sorta way.
My hens wanna........
