Anything significantly before or after that mean that conditions were not ideal and that is bound to have some kind of adverse effect on the chick. I wouldn't worry too much though, I'm sure he'll catch up in a day or so. Being an 'only chick' probably won't help though. Are you going to get him a buddy for company?

The temp was probably a little high - say 1/2 degree or so....Don't worry and let that baby stay in the incubator, don't rush her and don't help her out....This is important that they can hatch on their own!!!! Have a blessed and Happy Hatching...Nancy
