My Eggie layed an eggie! Yay!

Egglantine finally layed an egg! She's the smallest and youngest of the Seramas but her egg was tinier than I ever imagined! Here it is next to a normal Serama egg:

Update: we cracked Egglantine's egg open and it had a huge yolk! I've never seen such a tiny but perfect egg before!

Don't ya just love their first egg? It's like all of a sudden, your little baby girl is all grown up! Soon she'll be sneaking off behind the coop for a rendezvous with the rooster, chatting with the older girls about who has the most beautiful eggs, who laid what today.....and she'll truly be a member of the Big Girls club! Kinda brings a tear to your eye, doesn't it? It doesn't? Am I the only one who gets all misty eyed when one of her girls lays her first egg? I can't be!! I refuse to believe that!

Oh, yer not alone at all! I tell my girls how very proud I am of them for each egg they lay! I remember when they were peeps falling asleep in their feed, and now they're such big, beautiful girls.
