Well the box they will go in after they hatch is fixed up. I used a bin I already had because I could not tear myself away to go to Walmart to buy a bigger one, maybe later. I went to lockdown on Thurs night and they are 'due' on Sunday night so the one already born is early. One is out, and one has pipped...the other eggs are just sitting there. I opened just the edge of the incubator and in a flash took out the thermometer as it was laying across a lot of eggs...it is mounted on clear plastic. The incubator has held its temperatures good for 19.5 days...I trust it to continue to do so. This could take another four days to be over...now I understand why everyone has to control themselves and leave the incubator alone.
The bin ended up on my kitchen island. There is shavings in it with a towel over them, and food and water...with marbles in the water thing. I have a hundred watt light bulb but it is white...I'll go get a red one later.
I wish that little chick would quit falling down and looking dead.
