My eggs have arrived 1/13 pics .. come set with me!

I just set two dozen silkie eggs... That makes three group settings in my bator...

Oh wow, I haven't thought about shipping eggs in shavings!!! Maybe I will try that

and throw in people who purchased eggs from me extras (in case they break

So, it's been 4 hours since I put the eggs in the bator ...

DH just called .....

.... wanted to know how "our babies" were doing .....

we have added another 12 eggs to the incubator this morning....
8 Light Brahma/Barred Rock
4 Light Brahma/Light Brahma

all told their are 21 eggs in the incubator now,
the first 9 will be moved to a Brower 846 for hatching on the 24th.
and by then I will have figured the incubator out (I hope)
then then next 12 will be moved on 31st.

so I will have the incubator ready for any others I decide to try to hatch. (lol)

A little bit of temp flucuation today .. frustrating .. but all has leveled off, they're rocking back and forth in the auto turner, I've sung them a lullaby, and they've been tucked into bed for the nite ...

I have to work tomorrow .. so hopefully the temp will hold steady tonite so I don't worry about them tomorrow ..

Day 3 .. still steady as she goes .. my temp was down a degree+ this morning, but I bumped it back up to a steady 100-101 ...

DH laughs at me .. says i keep checking to make sure none of them have gotten away. ...
