My little brother was that age when Star Wars first came out (in a galaxy long long ago). He wanted a lightsaber. He got Lego Star Wars spaceship kits. So did I!! I still have mine, too.

My 9 year old wants only games with the biggest baddest guns and things that blow up other things, and that is all. He even likes clothes if he knows those games are coming too!! I have to admit and I talk every day about " you do realize that. . . " and he finishes the sentence for me . . ."that this is just make believe, and if you really did that, that person would DIE!" But, have to admit, that list of your DS'S is a dream come true for almost every little boy I meet today!!!
