My eldest chickens not laying?

My eldest chickens (exactly 7 months old today) are not laying. Are their ways to help them lay quicker, or things I need to be worried about? They are definitely hens, though. I've had experience with roosters in the past, and they aren't it.

Partly depends on breed... but laying hormone is effected by daylight hours... and onset CAN be heavily effected by nutrition as well.

What are you feeding, including treats and supplements?

Are they hiding eggs? Eating them?

They aren't molting, and I need to get treats. One is a Production Red and the other is a golden comet.

Don't get treats, the person was asking because treats can dilute the nutrition needed for egg production.. Give them nutritionally balanced feed and oyster shell.

My guess is molting and also you guys have an average of 12.5 hours of sun per day which isn't much light for eggs.

At only 7 months old I would not suspect molting, they are not old enuf. (18 - 22 months) A high protein feed and oyster/egg shell on the side, layer feed can be used IF you have no rooster.

Actually, they are pullets
Did you raise them from chicks?
Do you free range?
They may be laying out in range area.

What all and how exactly are you feeding?

It's late in the season, days are shortening exponentially.
This can delay onset of lay and trigger molt, even in younger birds tho 7 months is a bit young. If you're seeing a lot of feathers around, check to see if new feathers are growing in, google 'chicken pin feathers' for images.
