These are the first eggs in my first homemade bator:) l started six eggs on Feb 20th so they should hatch on April 11th:fl the temp is set at 96.5 and humidity at 32%. What an adventure! I really hope this thing works!! Will try to get some pics saturday

Good luck with the Emus! Hope you have a great hatch. Three weeks always seems like a long time to wait for me, don't know how you stand almost two months of suspense.

Thank you! I hope they hatch alright. Let me see if I can get a pic to load. 54 days is a long time:) meet my babys I think:) the green in there is fish tank rocks so the bator heats evenly.

Well rats! That's to bad :( Anyway week one gone and all seems fine so far. I can't wait for the eggs to start talking back, (right now they don't say a lot) when l sing too them:)

Glad they are looking good so far. I always have to do a double take at the color of emu eggs, they look like somebody painted them, pretty neat. Only 47 more days to go, better have a lot of songs lined up to sing ....

Today is day 41 and... WIGGLES!! In eggs 3 5 6 and 1 still hopeing 2 and 4 are live, they don't smell and have been losing weight right along. I also lowered the temp to 95.5 on March 11th
And put 3 more eggs in to cook.
I'm going to try and get a video of the wiggles:D

Congrats on the eggs looking good so far! That is a pretty good hatch % for them isn't it? Good grief, just looked, it was the middle of February that you posted, I would have forgotten I had eggs in the incubator by now, do you send yourself memos :)

Lol I keep the incubator right next to my computer ( I work from home and am in that chair all day so can't forget)
I'm happy with that % of live eggs. I know some people get 90% or better but I'm not giving up hope on those last two eggs! Btw love the hen in your sig what breed is she?
