My Exotic and Migratory Ducks [Destinduck] (Photos)

totally awesome sun side up. They are heavy when scrambled, edible, just kind of ho hum. I have 11 yard ducks now and haven't eaten a chicken egg since I ate my first duck egg 6 month ago. They are also great boiled for tuna salad, potato salad, etc. Hubbie sold 3 doz Friday to a lady that wanted them for baking. I used to bake and make everything from scratch but haven't tried them for baking yet. When I have a good day I will whipped something up and let you know.

Goose eggs are also great sunny side up and 1 is all you need lol

What beautiful ducks you have!!!! Thanks for sharing

just spread your boxes out and put cover all over the right side some by your pond some near your fence. Im thinking at least 7 times more cover. Cmon wild duck breeder's Chime in. Help this girl out on making her avairy " Duck Honeymoon Hotel "

yep, tr to put about 10 feet at least between the boxes, they dont like competion or others around their nest sites. I agree to on the cover, go back to what ever page my pics were on in the other thread????? and look at the over all look of the pen, very grown over from top to bottom, the thicker you make it, the better end results you'll have...

Funny that you go in the pond too, did any ever come up to check you out?

No they stayed on their end of the pond!! Only my Barrow's and White face are even curious about people.. The others keep their distance

The duck egg was a little richer but I liked it. No other laying except the mallard nest has 8 eggs total now. The females that have heavy carriages are one of the reg woodducks, 2 manderins and the one 2 yr old baikal (she's going in the ground box) I will look in their pen in two days and let yall know.

Most of them are "doing it" but the only eggs I found were the mallard's. Usually in middle of March is when they just begin for me though. All the pens look like jungles now and the NPIP guy comes this tuesday.

13 mallard eggs. Must of miscounted. Im not getting my hopes up on the baikal just yet. Now I will if I see eggs in there in one more day when I look. She might just be fat.

I only count my ducks when they hatch
