My experience with bumblefoot

I totally agree with @Chickassan , while it might not exactly be a birthday party, it sure beats gimping along on a painful abscess in their foot!

Wrapping your chicken snug as a bug in a rug (towel)
Aka “burrito chicken” is the magic in this equation.

It calms them, Keeps them warm- which is soothing to a bird, and immobilizes them.
This keeps them from flapping around hysterically risking injury to themselve’s and you too! Claws and sharp beaks fly when a prey animal is frightened.

Using a thing as simple as a towel allows you to treat all kinds of emergencies solo. Especially important if you have no one to help.

Speaking or humming softly to them the whole time also helps a lot, many will hum or talk along with you.

*never use a “caine” product on a bird.
Not even in a triple antibiotic ointment.

My boys also having bumblefoot from about 8-9 months it's hard to treat it but finally I've used Silver Sulfadiazine Ointment Which Work Great and make skin good
