Well, things have changed around here. I have a whole whopping 2 mille fleur d'Uccles (a pair) and 4 silkies left (after the last 3 babies are gendered and sold). I decided to concentrate on the large breeds, since everyone up here is all about the meat and eggs.
My friend, AK_button_mama got most of my silkies and millies.
We did well at the
Fairthis year, though it's nothing like the big shows in the Midwest. Nothing. But it's nice to be able to say that some of my birds stole the show, so to speak! LOL! Here's to hoping for an increased interest in poultry around here! (And yes, I kept my RGC blue silkie... he has a nice black hen to hang around with, and a pair of whites.
)
Update photos for Cynthia (Speckledhen) and Patty (Onthespot)...
The Marans from Patty are 22-26 weeks old. The Orpingtons from Cyn are almost 6 months old.
(Cyn, the one blue boy that I got back had really bright yellow in his shanks, so I still didn't keep him...
)

There are a couple of really nice looking BCM girls, too, Patty, but I haven't gotten photos of them yet. And one girl did the egg-squat for me today!
