my extra chick from mcmurray

Wow how lucky are you lot, being able to buy from a place like McMurry look at the choice you can get and babies!!!

I have found it so hard to find anywhere that sells any kind of chickens let alone fancy breeds and chicks!!

The only place ive found is poultrymad.co.uk which is just up the road from us!!

Ive managed to buy 4 Ross Ranger Pullets from a big farm which was about an hour and a half away which are great but im waiting for The Lincolnshire Show as lots of breeders bring a selection of their birds and chicks to the show for sale!

Maybe its a good thing really otherwise id want loads of chickens lol

when you go to those shows and buy the chickens, make sure and put them in quarantine for a couple of weeks before mixing them in with your hens. i went to a swap once and brought home these cute banty's. turned out they were FULL of lice. i should be glad that's all they had, since i recall reading another lady bringing home some birds without quaranting them and they had an illness that spread to the rest of her flock and she had to destroy all of them.

I must agree with many of the other people. I also think it is a Golden Silver Sebright. I have one myself and it looks like mine when mine was a chick.

I got a freebie chick just like this from Mcmurray hatchery. I was wondering what it was.

X2...very cool birds. You are going to love it. Matter of fact you may want to get the catalog back out and order more now!

Hope renewing the subject will help them out.
