My Favorite Chicken House Ever!

Original post about my indoor/outdoor-on-the-shop-wall-chicken house here: https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/my-favorite-chicken-house-ever.1468454/
NEW: I just added a ventilation window screened with 1/4 wire mesh. In the scorching Arizona afternoons, the chickens choose to leave a shady lawn to nap in the cooled air of the swamp cooler aimed at their window.

My new Hessaire MC18 will drop the temperature 10-15 degrees (these swamp coolers only work in very dry climates) and only costs $.04 an hour to run. I have it far enough away not to ruffle feathers too much but still cool.

This picture shows the cross ventilation through their door to the outside coop.

Great example of building something to suit your architecture and available space! I thought my shop was pretty posh with a sink with hot and cold running water. You have a toilet! 👍
I'm responding very late--didn't see your post until now. That bathroom was a wreck of a place before we did some measuring and figured we could spruce it up and even install a 32" freestanding shower stall. Comes in handy for overflow of week-long houseful of extended family!

I'm responding very late--didn't see your post until now. Thanks! That bathroom was a typical wreck of a shop toilet area before we did some measuring and figured we could spruce it up and even install a 32" freestanding shower stall and black utility tub. Great for proximity to the chicken coop, and comes in handy for overflow of week-long houseful of extended family!
The only downside of a roosting room only 31" wide (didn't want to move the bathroom door over) is that the chickens have to roost lower. There isn't enough room for them to fly to a higher roost, not being helicopters.
