My female runner duck is acting weird. Is it because of something?

So, for some context, I’m feeding my ducks in the lawn (just some dandelion weeds). She starts shaking and growling at me, trying to eat my hair and eyes. I am just worried that it’s something that I did, and something is wrong with her, vs. a phase

Maybe she saw something that frightened her. I've never heard a duck growl though.
No, I don’t think that that’s possible m. We were alone and only the tall grass was behind me, so she couldn’t see anything. She just made a deep rumbling in her throat and weirdly looked at my hair and was snapping at it. Not angrily but like she was in a trance. She quickly snapped out of it but she did it a lot and it freaks me out.

It's a duck, they could see a shadow and be frightened. It sounds like she was frightened of something.
Regardless of what caused her to behave this way, it's nothing to be concerned about.
