Do you have to put CO2 in the gun for it to work? or green gas?

It bleeds off some of the expanding gas that propels the bullet, through a small hole in the top of the barrel, to cycle the action. The gas block/front sight base I'm going to get channels that gas through the tube and back to the bolt carrier group.

I've seen a few others with the lettering colored in, so i decided to try it on mine. I also installed the dust cover, that arrived this afternoon.









I kept going with what colors I have, and got this far;





I need to buy one or two more colors to finish that part of it, then I just need a front sight base/post/detent, and a forward assist. That'll have it ready to shoot, and I may still add an optic of some sort to use just for ML deer season.

The sling arrived today, so that just leaves the front sight assembly and forward assist to complete it.

I just finished a DelTon parts kit with an extra lower that was in the gun safe. I find it kind of funny that I have more blank lower receivers in my gun safe waiting for parts kits and barrels than some have actual ARs. I have 2 lowers in there that were transferred as pistol receivers so I'll probably build then up in pistol calibers before converting them to short barreled rifles.

Do you have more complete rifles than lowers? All I have is my Bushmaster and this pistol.
