I am new to chickens and only have 5 chickens. All are bantams and all different breeds so nothing to compare any of them to....newbie mistake :) they are all just pets though. My barred rock is 12 weeks old and has no comb/wattles and has dark legs and dark feathering with wider black bands than the white bands. It does have some feathers in the wings, and some in the tail that really come to a point. They are not long and skinny like saddle feathers. Just regular feathers that are pointed on the ends. Is this normal for a pullet? This one is my favorite out of all and I am worried she is a he. Can only keep girls where I live. I will go take some pics and post them. Thanks

Ok I have added lots of pics! I would be so happy if someone could tell me that girls can have pointy feathers too! Could it be that it is just a late developing Roo?

Does this look like the face of a 12 week old pullet?

Some pointy wing feathers. Is this normal for a pullet or does it definitely mean Roo even though she has a lot of girl characteristics?

She wouldn't hold her tail up for me so I did it for her :)
