I can't wait for my 1st blue egg. My Blue Wheaton Ameraucana are only 12 weeks, so it going to be a bit of a wait for me.

I was thrilled for my first egg too, last week...but no blue/green ones till maybe December?
I have 3 EE pullets at 10 weeks...can not wait!!

I should hopefully see my first egg sometime in September!! Having 4 Easter Eggers that might lay either green or blue eggs!! Very cool!!
Now if I can get them in the coop!!!!

I let mine roost outside in a tree(still building the coop) more out of necessity, got them into the coop and should have kept them in there because the next night I couldn't catch all and they went back to the tree, an owl got one, the rest came running to me and now they are locked up for several days until they forget the tree. They've been in that tree for weeks and wouldn't you know it finally got spotted by a predator. It was a thick tree too. Sometimes, they don't know what's best..
My rooster was easy to catch because he'd roost in the chair on the poarch, it only took 3 days for him to adjust to the coop, but even though it's so close to the house I know eventually a coon or coyote or something will take him, so, lock up time.

I have 5 Easter Eggers that are laying pale green and one faint blue colored eggs along with my others that lay lite brown and darker brown eggs. Rainbow is the perfect word. I'm introducing these beautifully colored eggs at work and what Ameraucanas/Easter Eggers are. Having fun being the crazy chicken lady.
