My first broody hen!

Two fluffy babies and two more zipping!


The all black chick came from the olive egg (came out last night) and the chick with the yellow belly came out of my one white egg.



The light brown egg and the green egg in front are zipping! That green egg is the same one that started pipping last night. But she's making progress at least! I bet she's out by now if I go back out and check! The big dark brown egg is the one that I think got cold, and the other olive egg I have never been able to see into so I'm not sure what to expect out of those two.

Here's the first thing I saw when I peeked in this morning!



Fluffy chick head!

My mama hen is a very good mama, I had to literally pull her off her nest and hold her so I could get pics of the babies! She was very concerned that they were not tucked under her! I think she's going to be on my broody keeper list!

Four healthy fluffy chicks!









I think the silver one came out of my Americauna egg. The new black one was a little damp still (she came out of the light brown egg), she's not fully black but has a little bit of markings on her chest like the other chick. No action from the remaining two eggs in the nest.
