Lots of way to manage a broody hen.
I like to separate by wire from the flock, so no disturbance of broody, no eggs added, no nest taken up from layers. But moving them can be tricky.
I take eggs away daily in main nest until I'm sure she's broody,
then move her to broody area with fake eggs can take a day or so for them to settle back in...then I give her fertile eggs.
