My Spot has ventured out with her two. She started getting nastier with the older chicks I tried to give her. So the 11 2-week olds have been moved to the brooder coop with dog pen. The 3 rooster-like 6week olds have graduated to being with the grownups. They hide a lot, but big enough to fend for themselves.
I can’t manage to get a decent pic of Spots babies. One is from a RSL hen and the other is from one of the black Cochin hens (I think).
 
I will post weekly updates of the checks until I am able to sex them. At that time I will have to sort the cockrells from the pullets.

Prudence has come off her nest with her chicks, moved five feet and set up house . . . in the doorway of the coop at peak laying time, where she’s probably wondering, poor brainless thing, why she can’t get any peace.
