My first chicks! Hatched 6/2

Well, back down to 8. The SF and the Polish didn't make it. Not sure if it's me doing something wrong or if this is just normal for having chicks. The SF just got lethargic and then died overnight. I tried giving her NutriDrench and it perked her up for a few hours but she still died. The Polish was kinda scrawny from the start and never got as lethargic as the SF but wasn't quite as active as the others. They've got food and water, the water has electrolytes added to it, they have the heat plate and a spacious pen that I keep pretty clean, the food isn't medicated but I've heard mixed reviews about medicated feed so Idk if that matters. I still have 8 that seem quite healthy so hopefully we won't have any more losses...

One of my chicks, my Welsummer named Alice, keeps picking at a particular feather on one of her wings. She's picked it to the point of it bleeding. Any ideas why?

I realize this thread is older, but did you learn what was causing Alice to peck at her wing?
