Four of my five girls have recently begun laying. I know my EE, BR, and BA are laying. But my other one (my BO or GLW) is being sneaky. Whoever my mystery layer is produced this bullet two days ago. It's really no wider than a regular large egg, but it was really long. Well this morning we had our official fresh egg taste test, and the long egg was a double yolker! Yay for my mystery pullet!!! The shell is laying beside my BR's egg...

I had two or three last year, when they were new layers. None since last summer - but this year, when they started to lay again, wow, those eggs are huge! The BOs lay a medium egg usually, now they're medium to large, and some of the BR and RIR eggs are so big I can't hardly close an egg carton around them!

Yours wasn't a bullet, just a HUGE egg...lol! Since my egg was long and skinny, I didn't feel too bad for the girl who laid it.

I know. I felt like I needed to take her to the vet for some stitches.

I tried to see who was walking funny, but they all seem to do that.

Yummy! The double yolkers are the most delicious of them all. When mine started laying we had double yolkers daily. Now they are a rare treat. Enjoy!
