I just got my first double yolker!!!
I can't believe the mama passed it!
It's HUGE! I know chances at hatching one are extremely thin, but we're going to attempt... so please cross your fingers!
It was just laid today. Daddy is a speckled sussex, mama is a white rock. If it hatches, I will post to let everyone know! I plan to put it in the bator tomorrow, so I can have today to get the temp and humidity set right first. Anyone have advice on turning it without touching it, since it won't fit in the egg carton? And how should it sit? Big side up, or on it's side, or what? Any advice from successful double yolker hatchers very much appreciated and welcome! Thank you!
