Found it in the corner...a beautiful, baby-sized, brown egg. I suppose it came from one of the Australorps. They seem to be the fastest maturing with nice red combs and wattles. It was a little earlier than I expected so I didn't have their tunnel nest built yet. She laid it in the corner...I bet she is PO'ed at me...her first egg, laying it in front of all her sisters and roos...:mad:
I guess I better get that nest built. At least they started laying at the end of a bag of starter feed.

BTW...She was 19 wks, 2 days old.

Ha ha, I got 2 yesterday and one this morning;)
My red sex links are 15 weeks today.
 
Those red sex links must be really fast maturing. I used an oat-starter mix at 8 weeks to try and slow down the maturity of my pullets. That's why I was a little surprised by the egg. I thought they would appear at about 20 weeks.
