Last night I was changing out the water and noticed two little tiny cream eggs!! I was so surprised to have eggs already they just turned 18 weeks on monday. I am not sure who laid them it was either my d'uccle mille or my bantam buff brahma....I will have to keep an eye on them and see. I am SOOO proud of my girls. I ate the eggs for breakfast this morning and they were so tasty. The yolks were such a beautiful orange color. That was my first experience with fresh eggs prior to that I have always gotten them from the grocery store.

since the eggs were cream I think it only could have been my d'uccles or the brahma. My sebright and polish are suppose to be white eggs....

here are a few pics of the culprits....

it is 50/50 I mixed the leftover grower in with a new bag of layer to gradually change it over. I wasn't expecting eggs this early......they have been eating the 50/50 mix for a couple weeks now

I have 6 buff bantam brahma pullets that are 15 weeks

Here is a picture of one of them named Ruffles:

And here is their roo, Griffin, I think he is a cross between a buff and light brahma bantam:

very pretty too. They are just so sweet I love my buff. I had 2 and one was a roo so I had to rehome since we are in the city and can't have them. He was sooo sweet and beautiful. I was really sad to see him go.

Well I caught my Mille laying another egg today so that is who it has been. I am sure my other 5 girls should be starting soon. I guess I better get busy on the nest boxes I thought I had another month to work on them.
