Hello!
I purchased my first batch of eggs around 36 days ago. they were white silkies.
the breeder I got them from seemed to know what he was doing BUT alarm bells should have started ringing when he avoided me looking at his farm, but being so excited (and broken down on the motorway on the way there) I thought nothing of it as I was excited.
However. day 22 came and some babies pipped. great! them they promptly died with their yok sac hanging out, so with the best will in the world I tried to bring them back. not a chance.
So I wondered then what's going on with the others. I had 2 non fertilised and 2 im afraid rotten eggs, (I've never smelt a rotten egg before and I never want to again)
So, the big question.
shall I contact him and tell him the above, or leave it and put it down to experience.
What would you do?
