I would re bait your trap its mating season the other half will be lurking snag him too.

Well the first time I baited the trap I used the chicken he killed somehow he got it out without setting off the trap

So then everyone on here told me to wire the bait to the back of the trap. (frozen chicken is easier) I cut a chicken breast in 4 pieces taking 2 and looping the wire through the meat 3 times to he would really have to jerk on it then twisted the ends together so it was nice and snug on the bottom corner. I also placed a piece before the plate and in front of the trap. My fox would always take the two easy pieces first then couldnt help but come back for the others later. If the fox seems trap shy I would make it so the trap doesnt go off for like 2 days just so it gets comfy then set it. This time I caught him I had to up the anty I used a piece of raw chicken pushed the wire through then covered it in peanut butter putting dog food all over it and put it back in the freezer for a little bit (my neighbor feeds the fox peanut butter and dog food) then once the peanut butter got firm I wired it to the back bottom of the trap

Ya I was wondering if I should do that. Its a good idea cant hurt right. dont want to start feeling safe them have another chicken death. I have to start dealing with coyotes next they are just hanging out in my front of my house blah!!!

Also welly if you cant trap him I would place meat (or anything it will eat) in a spot at the same time every day one that you can watch and see in the dark that way he gets use to the schedule then one day just watch and wait for him then shoot it.

lol ya Well I guess that the lady down the way from me has already shot a few back when she had chickens. But this guy just waits until new ones take the dead ones place. He feeds the coyotes too and a bobcat Its insane I wish he would stop I have a 2 and 3 year old daughters I need my property to be save for them and this guy is just causing everyone problems
