My first free range hen egg-did I kill it?

Wyandotte egg must've been laid a couple days ago found it in a bale of Hay. Wanted to see if it was viable so stuck it in glass of temped water. It sunk but air bubbles came from it. I have roosters and have watched them mate. Did I just drown a viable chick egg?

Use A flashlight and shine it through the egg or use your phone flash and then post a photo please
