I got home from work today and found that my "daily 3 eggs" were frozen and cracked. The hens lay them between 8AM and 10AM usually. I got home at 4 and they were frozen. It's negative 1 here today with wind chills of -25.

I almost feel sorry for the girls outside. It's just too cold.

I hate it when the eggs freeze. I would consider keeping the girls indoors if I were you. As for the eggs, make sure there is plenty of bedding in the nestbox, and consider heating if your coop is not well insulated--no for your chickens, but for your eggs.
