Woke up at 7am this morning to find, one peeping and one small pip!! Today is day 21, so they are right on schedule. The temperatures outside last night dropped dramatically from what they have been, and the humidity had dropped in the bator. Building the humidity back up now, it's up to 66% so I hope I'm good there. This is my very first hatch, their's too when I think about it! These were 12 shipped, BC Marans eggs, in a Little Giant, and so far, so good. The temps have been steady at 99.5-100.5, and humidity for the first 18 days ran between 45-50%. With the grace of God, and some strong little peepers, I should have some babies by this evening (I hope!).

I'll post some pics when we have some babies! So eggciting!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the link! I had read most of it, but good to keep it handy. Still no progress here, and the pip from this morning looks liked it closed?? Still lots of peeping going on, and scratching too. Still not at the full 21 days till 6pm (cst) tonight. Keeping my fingers crossed, and sure hope they can make it on their own. I'm a nervous wreck!!

First pip that had closed, is now in business again! Phew, thought that one had died. He/she is flapping that piece of shell like a vent or a screen door! LOL. A few more peeps here and there, but pretty much quiet. Hope they are just resting...

Thanks guys!! Just checked again, still only two pips, but there are more voices in the eggshell choir!! Like maybe 5 or 6?? Will keep you posted.
