My first Hatch. Itzy and Ditzy's BBS Cochin eggs

Oh my they are just too cute!!!! glad to hear they have no problem getting the job done. Does my egg above look fertilized to you?

I'm not an expert on bulls eyes.

I let my incubator tell me if they are fertile

I would trim butts if you aren't having any luck. That would be my first option

Thanks. I will give it a bit of time and see. They don't turn a year till April 8. And she had only been laying a couple weeks before I started collecting eggs for the first batch. So hoping that is it. She has now been laying about a month so still not long but hope enough for some fertilized eggs.

I also have a buff hen and silver laced. Any ideas what colors those babies would be if I hatched their eggs?

Yes just the one blue Rooster. He was an "oops" and should have been a she but we loved him so kept him.

ok thanks. was more just curious. My main thing I want to do is try to hatch a couple of splash females to keep. Didn't really have any plans of hatching but I can't get splash around here and small order shipping prices are crazy so figured I would try to hatch out my own. But then again she shipping prices would have been cheaper than the incubator.

Put 5 more of Ditzy's eggs in the incubator... Fingers crossed these do something! I also put in a few from a couple of my other girls.

Ok here is an egg from Ditzy from 3/26 ( same egg just 2 pics, that egg is labeled) and a bunch of pics of her egg from today. Anyone that has looked has said fertilized... What does everyone think?

Now my question if they are fertilized why at day 4 do I see nothing in the eggs in the incubator since those were laid between these. I stored them pointy side down, under a week, and in my basement that was around 55-65*
